CATE

Our History

Founded with a vision to promote innovation and foster tourism-driven prosperity, the Canada Association for Tourism and Employees (CATE) has supported its members, newcomers, and organizations for over six years. Our legacy is rooted in the Caribbean through our longstanding work with the Barbados Association of Tourism Employees (BATE), which has served the tourism workforce for over a decade.
Building on this solid foundation, we have expanded our mission to Canada, establishing our base in the Niagara Region of Ontario. This transition reflects our commitment to community-driven growth and sustainable development while leveraging the synergies between innovation, cultural diversity, and economic empowerment.
With a national outlook and a growing network, CATE is positioned to support initiatives that align with our values—supporting local entrepreneurship, advancing clean technologies and green tourism, and enhancing opportunities for equity-deserving communities across Canada.
